It’s Still October — Let’s Make It Count

Hey Meno fam —
Just because October’s flying by doesn’t mean the moment’s passed. Menopause Awareness Month is still in full swing, and this is our time to turn up the volume.

This month isn’t just about hot flashes or hormone charts (though, yes, those too). It’s about reclaiming midlife, getting the right info, and building a community that sees us — all of us.

And don’t forget: October 18th is World Menopause Day. Every year there’s a theme, and this one’s Lifestyle Medicine, how sleep, movement, food, and stress shape our experience through perimenopause and menopause. It’s about thriving, not just surviving.


A Little Glimpse Back


Earlier this month, a few standout events really set the tone.

The Meno Café, hosted by Stripes Beauty in NYC, transformed a West Village storefront into a community hub filled with laughter, expert panels, and real talk about everything from hormones to humor. From the first panel to the last, the event dove straight into conversations about sex, intimacy, and what it means to stay connected and confident through midlife and menopause, along with discussions on hormone health, self-care, and the power of community. It was honest, smart, and a little spicy (just how we like it). It was proof that when women gather, things move forward (and yay Meno Moms got to contribute some custom merch to the event!).

And then came The New Pause, the 4th annual menopause symposium, co-hosted by The Swell and Naomi Watts. It was a full day of learning, connection, and empowerment, bringing together scientists, doctors, and advocates to talk about everything from brain health and anxiety to perimenopause care, hormonal health, sleep, longevity, breast cancer, and medically induced menopause, topics that don’t always get enough attention but deeply shape how women experience midlife, health, and recovery.

Events like these are reminders that menopause isn’t just a personal milestone, it’s a public conversation that deserves space, research, and representation.


What’s Still Happening This Month
